Behind-the-scenes with Kate Moss for David Yurman A/W 2010

Summer is almost over and I am back to my writing duties.  And after a much deserved break, I come back to beautiful images of Kate Moss swimming in jewelry for David Yurman (one of my favorite hobbies).

A backstage shot by Garance Dore of Kate Moss for David Yurman A/W 2010

Legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh has long been the mastermind behind David Yurman’s seductive images for the company’s powerful advertising campaigns.  For Fall-Winter 2010, Lindbergh and Yurman decided to take the campaign a step further – blogger Garance Dore was invited to St. Baths to capture the action behind-the-scenes on David Yurman’s A/W ’10 campaign, starring Kate Moss. Dore, who recently announced she’s moving from Paris to New York, took part in the shoot which was led by photographer, Peter Lindbergh.

“Lindbergh’s shoots were like I always dreamt they would be, the big black screen in the middle of the beach, steamy jazz playing in the background, sublime and natural girls, the make-up a bit undone by the salted sea spray, sand in their hair, light right in their eyes,” blogged Dore. “I didn’t ask him [Lindbergh] any questions. My happiness was simply in observing. Sometimes he’d come up to me, tell me a few stories, ask me some questions, try to understand what was this weird thing I do: this blog thing, it really interested him.”

Red Carpet Jewelry would sit down with Lindbergh and tell him blogging stories anyday!  Below, the final result of the shoot:
