The 25th Biennale des Antiquaires will light up Paris’ Grand Palais this September, pooling together 80 art dealers and seven renowned jewelers.
A celebration of antiques, art and jewelry, the Syndicat National des Antiquaires has also selected 25 dealers who will present their artwork on the balcony of the Grand Palais, each focusing on a particular area.
Described as the ‘stepping stone for the Biennale’, these 25 dealers represent the future of the event and will help introduce it to a new generation. Subjects include fine jewelry, Asian art, Islamic art, Pre-Columbian art, Oceanic art, books and manuscripts, furniture from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, orders of chivalry, sculpture, old master and modern paintings as well as tapestries.
A supporting committee has also been created and each member will pick their favourite piece.
The 25th Biennale des Antiquaires will be held from September 15-22.
