Tattoos can be expensive. But at this price?
South African jeweler Shimansky unveiled its newest creation: a body tattoo with a price tag of $924,000.
The reason behind such a steep price tag: 612 5-carat diamonds, glued to model Mink van der Westhuizen’s body, also the brand ambassador. It took Shimansky’s designers 8 laborious hours to complete the floral design on the model’s skin. The diamonds were affixed with a water-based glue.
Earlier this month, Shimansky unveiled a five-pound diamond-encrusted soccer ball creation, made out of hundreds of black and white gems.
